With a BA in Languages and Literature (Portuguese and English), two post-graduate courses, one in Morphology and Syntax of Brazilian Portuguese and another in Brazilian Literature, and certified by the American Translators Association as a Portuguese/English translator, Ana Beatriz started working as a technical translator/reviewer in 1986 in the Patents area, in a multinational patent & trademark attorneys company established in Rio de Janeiro. In 1989, after being invited by Luciana, she joined Follow-Up soon after its foundation, working as a technical translator/reviewer. As she gained more and more experience and self-confidence, she soon found her way to become a quality assurance specialist, a role that she holds until today at Follow-Up as Language Quality Manager, as well as a partner since 1998.

In March 2010, Ana Beatriz was appointed by the Board of Trade of the State of Rio de Janeiro as an Official Public Sworn Translator. Therefore, under her supervision, we have created our Legal Translations Department.
